1 How to participate
2 Subject to paragraphs 2.1 and 7, this promotion is limited to entrants with a smart phone that attend a Johnstone’s Decorating Centre ("JDC") located in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland (“Qualifying Store”), excluding retailers, stockists, distributors, and wholesalers and local and national government contractors – e.g. prisons, hospitals, schools and councils and employees and their families of the Promoter, associated companies, agents, or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion,. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over and spend a minimum of £99 exc VAT or more in one transaction on Johnstone’s Stormshield (excluding EWI and render products), Johnstone’s Woodworks or GORI Professional products in a Qualifying Store (excluding Republic of Ireland) or, subject always to paragraph 2.1.3 below, spend €120 excluding VAT in a Qualifying Store in Republic of Ireland (such respective spends are hereafter defined as “Qualifying Spend”) and you will be eligible for one entry into a prize draw for the chance to win a prize. The types and numbers prizes available to win are set out in paragraph 5 below.

2.1.1 For entrants that are resident in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you are obliged to make the Qualifying Spend in a Qualifying Store in order to qualify for each entry into the prize draw.
2.1.2 Once you are in a Qualifying Store and have made the Qualifying Spend, please use your smart phone to scan the promotion’s QR code located next to or on the trade counter. This will direct you to the following link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K38VHLV where you will be required to complete an online data capture form which shall consist of your full name, email address, company name, telephone number, Qualifying Store at which you made the Qualifying Spend, 12 number invoice number starting with #5, order value (exc VAT) and invoice date. Your completion of this form will result in you being eligible to take part in a random prize draw that will take after the Promotional Period. If you do not follow these steps, you will not be eligible to take part in the draw.
2.1.3 For entrants that are resident in Republic of Ireland, there is a free route of entry as follows. Please bring to a Qualifying Store a valid passport and/or driving licence (as proof of identity) and a utility bill or bank statement (not being more than 3 months old) with the same name as your identity document (as proof of residence). If our staff are satisfied that such proofs of identity and residence confirm that you are resident in Republic of Ireland, you will be permitted to scan the promotion’s QR code using your smart phone and please then follow the steps set out in paragraph 1.2.2 above. If you do not provide such proofs of identity, you will not be permitted to scan the QR code and complete the online data capture form. In any event, if it transpires that the information that you share in the data capture form indicates that you are not resident in Republic of Ireland and you have not made the Qualifying Spend, then your right to take part in the random prize draw and to receive a prize shall be rendered null and void.
2.2 Participation in this promotion is governed by these terms and conditions. Entrants are encouraged to review these terms and conditions before entering the promotion and acknowledge that they been given an appropriate opportunity to do so and that they understand and accept these terms and conditions. Incomplete entries or entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into this promotion.
3 Start date
This promotion will start at 6am on Monday 13 May 2024.
4 Closing date
The closing date for this promotion will be at 12.00pm on 8 June 2024. The period from and including the promotion’s start date and time and expiring on the closing date and time shall be referred to hereafter as the “Promotional Period”. Entries received by the promoter prior to or after the Promotional Period will be void and will not be entered into this promotion.
5 Selection of the winners
5.1 After the Promotional Period, the promoter will then conduct verification checks to ensure that the entrants have complied with the entry requirements set out in paragraph 1.2 and that such entrants are not excluded from taking part in the promotion under paragraph 6. If the promoter identifies that an entrant had not complied with the requirements of paragraph 1.2 or were ineligible to take part under paragraph 6, they will not be entered into the draw. The promoter will then conduct a random prize draw which will result in an allocation of the prizes amongst the entrants.
5.2 Once the random prize draw has been completed such that the promoter is satisfied that all winners were eligible to take part in the draw and to receive a prize pursuant to paragraph 4.1 above, each winning entrant will be notified by email (estimated to be during the week commencing 17 June 2024) confirming that they are a winner, identifying the prize which they have won and the Qualifying Store from which they must collect their prize (“Notice Email”). If you do not receive a Notice Email then this will mean that you have not won a prize.
6 Prize
6.1 There are a total of 2090 prizes available under this promotion and are as follows:

6.2 All prize images are for illustrative purposes only.
6.3 There are no alternative prizes and there is no cash alternative available either in whole or in part. Nevertheless, in certain circumstances at its absolute discretion, the promoter reserves the right but without any obligation to substitute a similar alternative prize of equal or greater value to the prize won by a winner.
6.4 All prizes are non-transferable, subject to availability at Qualifying Stores and do not include any additional costs and expenses that might be incurred in their use or operation.
7 Restrictions and requirements
7.1 Please note the following restrictions and requirements apply:
7.1.1 subject always to paragraph 6.1.2 below, this promotion is open only to the following types of customer of the promoter: a) a person that does not have any existing account with the promoter (customer group SW); b) an existing JDC account holder whose account starts with the letters SW (ie cash account), starts with the letters QV and UV (ie depot credit account) or starts with the letters SC, SO, SD and UA (i.e. trade direct account). All other customer types including (without limitation) are ineligible to enter this promotion ;
7.1.2. if any customer which would be otherwise eligible to enter this promotion under paragraph 6.1.1 above has an account with the promoter that: a) is placed on stop at any time during the Promotional Period or such account was already on stop at the promotion’s start date and time; and/or b) who is in a dispute with the promoter of any kind whether pre-action or otherwise at any time during the Promotional Period or such dispute was already in existence at the promotion’s start date and time;
7.1.3. employees of the promoter or any of the promoter’s affiliates and such employees’ respective immediate families, the promoter’s agents or stockist customers or other distributors, or any anyone else professionally associated with the promoter are ineligible to enter this promotion.
8 Collection of the prizes
8.1 Each winner is required to collect their prize from the Qualifying Store stated in the Notice Email at their own cost and bring with them a valid passport or driver’s licence as proof of age and identity, the receipt proving their Qualifying Spend from a Qualifying Store during the Promotional Period (though this requirement is not applicable to entrants resident in Republic of Ireland) and a copy of the Notice Email (either printed off or able to read on a smart phone). The promoter reserves the right but not obligation to ask each winner for the documentation and information (as described above in this paragraph 7.1). If a winner is unable to prove their age and/or identity and/or receipt and/or Notice Email, the promoter reserves the right to withhold the prize without incurring any liability thereby until such time as the winner does provide such proofs. The winner shall have up until 12pm on 29 July 2024 to return to their nominated Qualifying Store with such proof of age/ identity/ purchase/ Notice Email in order to collect their prize and time shall be of the essence in this regard. If they fail to do so within the stated period, they shall forfeit automatically their right to the prize.
8.2 The promoter hereby reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and to disqualify the entrant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where an entrant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.
8.3 Each winner shall be required to complete and sign a proof of collection form as proof that they have collected their prize. Risk of loss or damage in the prize shall pass to the winner upon its collection.

9.1 Your personal data will be processed by PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited as a data controller for the purpose of performing our obligations under these terms and conditions. 9.2 The surname and county of the winners can be obtained by sending (by 1st or 2nd class standard post) a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Summer Savers Giveaway, Marketing Department, PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited, Huddersfield Road, Birstall, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 9XA.
9.3 If you do not want your surname and county included on the list of winners referred to above, please email acuk@ppg.com prior to the closing date of the promotion.
9.4 You may be asked to participate in publicity relating to this promotion if you are selected as a winner. However, if the winner is under 25 years old or is deemed to look under the age of 25 the winner may not be featured in photographic publicity connected with the promotion, but their name and what they have won may still be used.
10 General

10.2 While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the promotion or which are caused by a third party.
10.3 In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of the Promotion, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to entrants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
10.4 The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with this promotion will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10.5 In relation to UK residents, these terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or issues.
10.6 In relation to residents of the Republic of Ireland, these terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law and the courts of the Republic of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or issues.
